Ok folks, it has been a crazy last two weeks in the Hochhalter house (or lack of) and we finally have some peace. Here is a quick breakdown:
Two weeks ago: moved out of old house and in with Rick's father. We had a ton of help moving and it went very smoothly. Everyone always says this but it was so true: WE HAVE SO MUCH STUFF! We filled up a 17 foot UHaul 3 times, Ahhhh! So our garage of our new home was done so we moved it all into there. We moved into Rick's father's house and took over his home. Ha, well it probably felt that way to Rod. He went from living alone to living with 2 adults, 2 dogs and 1 toddler. Whew, I bet he was happy to see us go!
The house was delayed a couple days (typical I am sure) and we were able to close last Friday. Well, we worked on and off that weekend and all this week and were finally able to stay there last night. Some of you might know that Kendall was starting to crawl out of her crib, stinker. Well, she fell out once so we thought we should probably put her in a toddler bed right when we moved. So last night was her first night in it and she did so good. She was so funny this morning and after her nap yesterday, she knocked on the door to let us know she was awake.
Here are some pics. I took these before the cleaning crew was done so it's pretty messy in the kitchen. They cover up the island until they are completely done and the stickers are still on the pendants, but you get the idea. We ordered blinds at JCP, holy expensive!! We are going to skip the patio door for right now but just the other two rooms, living room and kitchen totalled about a house payment. We did spring for the room darkening cellular blinds in the bedrooms and the energy efficient cellular blinds in the living room/kitchen. With all that said, it was very expensive. I knew they would be expensive, but I was underestimating some.
Here is Kendall's bedroom:
Here is Kendall's/main bathroom

Here is the kitchen, like I was saying, they cover up the island for cleaning and we hadn't taken off the stickers from the appliances or the pendants
Here is the livingroom
Here is the entryway
Ok, I forgot pics of our room and the dining room, but that will have to wait for the next post!
Wow! The house looks super nice!! Congrats Tara! The hardwork is almost over?! Moving all the stuff from the garage to the house won't be fun but soon you will be able to just relax with the fam in your new home. Yayy!!
