11 months and all over the place

Size: When I took him into the clinic right before he turned 11 months, he was 25lbs and 11oz.  He is growing "up" a lot more and not as much "out."  He is in 18 and 24 month clothes.  He is definitely looking a lot more "toddler" like and less baby.  Makes me sad, but only a little.

Development: Walking everywhere.  He has been walking since right after his 11 month birthday.  Now he barely falls anymore, but even if he does, he gets right back up and walks.  The reason he falls is because he tries to go to fast and barrels forward.  He wants to RUN. He is a very very busy child.  The absolute only time he cuddles is when he is having a bottle.  This really does make me sad.  In a couple weeks when we start weaning the bottle he won't cuddle at all anymore :(.

Eating: Since Jaxon turned 11 months, he has decided he doesn't like baby food at all anymore.  I remember giving Kendall baby food well over a year.  Sure she ate solids, but she would still eat the baby food. Jaxon wants nothing to do with food that is pureed.  He loves mac and cheese, spaghetti, veggie fries, toast, waffles, mandarin oranges, blackberries, carrots, etc. He does still eat baby oatmeal once or twice a day.  For sure at night and sometimes in the morning.  I am definitely cool with this since it has good stuff for babies in it and it is cheap :)  He still has the 3 bottles a day.  We haven't started taking them away yet, but he does really like the sippy cup now.

Sleep: Same as last month.  He takes two naps a day totalling 3-4 hours and sleeping anywhere from 10 1/2 to 11 1/2 hours per night.  He is such a good little scheduled sleeper.

Other: Jaxon had his first ear infection, double at that. With some antibiotics all was better in a few days.

His first birthday is coming up so very soon.  It is truly bittersweet for me.  I am jazzed for Jaxon to become a toddler, become more independent, and learn new things.  However, since this is most likely our last baby, I want to savor Jaxon's youth...but just a little :)  Does that make sense?  I don't want to rush through his "little" years just because I am anxious to have him be older.  I don't want, 5 years from now, to regret not savoring his babyhood.

"I get a little rowdy when you don't get me from the crib right away"

Kendall is still sort of scared of the motorcyle.
Jaxon can't get enough of it

All boy.  He had a blast playing with the boards while Dad built the swingset.
Pic to come on next post!
