What a fun time Easter was this year. Kendall is finally old enough to enjoy the fun parts of Easter, such as egg hunts, basket hunts, the Easter bunny, etc. Since Rick had off for the weekend, we headed to Grand Forks to spend Easter with my family. Kendall and I did venture up a day early to attend a funeral of someone dear to my heart. My bff Tammy lost her Dad to complications of a brain tumor. He passed away only 3 weeks after discovering the tumor from complications of the surgery to remove it. He was only in his fifties and it's a good reminder that life is precious and you can't take anything for granted.

On Friday Rick, Kendall and I hit up the Canad Inn water park. We (Kendall) had soo much fun! She was thoroughly entertained for a good solid 3 hours and didn't even make it out of the parking lot before she fell asleep. That night we went out with our good friends Nate and Michaela. We hit up dinner and a movie and had such a fun time with them. The four of us are just a good match and it was wonderful seeing them again.

Saturday we went over the the Alerus Center for the "Easter Egg Hunt." Well, it was more like 20,000 eggs on the football field and a mad dash by each age group. Kendall walked away with a whopping 4 eggs, but was totally fine with it. She jumped in a bouncy thing and got her face painted like a bunny. That night we celebrated Easter with the family, complete with prime rib roast and all kinds of goodies. My younger brother and his girlfriend joined us, then our friends Tammy and Keith joined us for games that night. We played a game of Cranium and I must add that the women were victorious!

Sunday was church and we left town that afternoon. It seems spring has FINALLY sprung and Kendall LOVES to be outside. Sadly, we have mud/dirt for a backyard. Landscaping should be done sometime in late May and then another few weeks for the grass to grow, so needless to say we will be making many many trips to the park for Kendall. It's a REALLY good thing the park is a whole 1 block away!
