3 Months old!!!!
Jaxon was 3 months old a couple days ago. He is growing so much faster then I could have ever imagined. I love how one of my friends does a "breakdown" of their little one each month on their blog, so I think I will do the same! So if you don't care to read, just don't; but it's more for me, so that way 10 years from now when I look back I will have all this useless information :)
Size: He is still my big boy, weighing in at a good solid 17lbs 5oz and about 25 inches I think. He has almost outgrown his 3-6 month clothes.
Sleep: He is a good little sleeper. He usually goes down to bed around 9pm and wakes up at 6:30. I will eventually try to get him to sleep earlier then 9pm, but right now it just works for our routine. He usually takes 1-2 good naps for about 2 hours each, and then maybe cat naps 1-2 more times for about an hour total. He is still in the bassinet in our room for at least another month and has been sleeping well in there.
Development: He is so close to rolling over from tummy to back, and even closer to rolling from back to tummy. He LOVES to be on his back and arches his back around to try and roll over. He is starting to laugh a little and can easily ham it up with a smile if you smile at him.
Personality: He is getting over a icky cold/fever, so he is now in a better mood again. It was a tough week or so while he was sick but is now back to being happy! He gets pretty cranky when he is tired, so evenings we definitely don't see that smile as much.
Appetite: Jaxon eats about 5-6 oz every 3-4 hours and then 8oz before bedtime. He spits up A LOT during and after his bottle. No wait, spits up is an understatement. He THROWS up ALL over everything! I don't mean an ounce or so....I mean 2-6oz at a time. YUCK! We might need to make some feeding changes around the Hochhalter house.
Sibling relationship: Kendall continues to LOVE her little bro. I mean LOVE. She likes to talk to him, smile and help Mommy and Daddy out! Jaxon definitely can tell who his sissy is too!
Of course Kendall has to get in on the picture action...check out that morning hair!
I love his "full face" smile
Other: I have some fantastic news!!!!! Rick has accepted a promotion as a case manager with the Department of Corrections! I am so unbelievably proud of this well deserved promotion. The best things to Rick about this position? No more weekends, holidays, 5am mornings, and NO MORE UNIFORMS :) Personally, I always thought having a uniform is great, then you don't have to figure out what to wear. Soo much easier if you ask me. Anyway, Rick starts that shortly...expect big changes for the Hochhalter household :) Stay tuned!
