...and sigh

I can't believe my maternity leave is ending.  I extended my leave to be gone the full 12 weeks.  Best decision I have made in a long time.  I go back to work on Wednesday, and TOTALLY dreading it.

Anyway, on to happier things.  Kendall has just been cracking me up everyday with the random and sassy things she says.  Well, the sassy things she says are almost as annoying as they are funny.

Scene: Kendall and I were arguing about bedtime
Mommy: "Kendall, let me let you in on a little secret.  You are not the boss, I am the boss."
Kendall: "Mommy, let me tell YOU a secret, I am the boss now YOU go to bed!"
*Sigh* what a sass-a-frass.

Scene: I thought it would be fun to teach Kendall the meanings of the traffic light signals.
Mommy: I Sped up because it was a yellow light
Kendall: "Mooommmm, yellow means SLOW DOWN!
*Already a backseat driver*

Jaxon has such a little personality these days.  He is becoming a super good smiler and LOVES to be in the jumperoo.  He bounces with the best of them.  I am so sad to leave him at daycare tomorrow.  I hope he is a good little boy!

When you ask Kendall to do the "mad face," this is what she does...and then screams, "look at my eyebrows!"
The usual view when Jax is under his toy, he just has to see what's goin on

We (Rick and others) are hauling butt on our basement.  Rick's father, step father and my father have all been helping.  My job is to keep the children away :)  It is almost completely sheet rocked and will be taped and textured within the next two weeks.  Then all we have left to do is paint and trim.  Ohhh, I can't wait!!  It will be great to literally double our living space, and for Jaxon to have his own room.
