| 4 month old boy who is more interested in the football game then his Mom! |
He is now 4 months old but even our beloved Dr. Murphy believes he is soo much older then that because of his looks and strength. He is still in the 100% for weight and 75% for height and we are currently envisioning him as a linebacker on the football field...ha!
Sleep: He is still going down about 9pm...however...he decides that 5-530 is a GREAT time to be awake for about the last week. He will sit and talk, coo, jibber jabber in his playpen for up to an hour! It is awful having him in our room because he will put himself back to sleep during this chit chat fest, but Mommy and Daddy have a heck of a time sleeping through it! In about two weeks we will have our basement finished and Kendall will be moving downstairs leaving Jaxon to occupy Kendall's old room. Then it will be great because we won't have to sit and listen while he talks himself back to sleep. Anyway, he takes about 2-3 catnaps during the day and 1 long nap.
Development: All of a sudden a couple weeks ago he "just got it." Completely figured out how to flip over onto his tummy from his back and then back onto his back. He rolls all over the room and every time you put him on his back he flips to his tummy. He is very strong and can stand up on his own with Rick or I just holding his hands for support.
Personality: Love to hear him giggle, and is very good at it once you get him goin. He has some stranger danger already, and remembering back to Kendall, she did this around this age too.
Appetite: This kid can EAT! It's an obscene amount he eats each day and I am anxious to get him on rice cereal, in hopes he will eat less. We have tried rice cereal a couple times and he is getting better at it. I will try to give it 1-2 day pretty quick here.
Here are some pictures of my Jaxonater:
