We went over to the Mandan Fire Department's open house last night, part of "fire prevention" week. Jaxon sat in his carseat the entire time, but Kendall walked around and collected stickers, tattoos, suckers, coloring books, balloons, pencils, and the cutest firemen hat!
One thing I was so proud of Kendall for is that she had her face painted willingly. This may seem small, but for those of you that know Kendall, you know that she is typically scared of any new experience. So mommy got a heart painted on her cheek first and then Kendall was such a good girl and got a pumpkin on her cheek. I was so proud of her for doing something she was scared of.
This weekend we painted the entire basement. Whew! It was such an undertaking and we couldn't have done it without the help of my mom, Rick's mom, and Jenn. We managed to get two coats on everything, including the ceiling... in one day! It looks so amazing and I can't wait to see it come together with trim and carpet. We are nearing our "Thanksgiving deadline," but will hopefully have it done by Jaxon's baptism during Thanksgiving weekend. Here are some pictures...

This will be the TV wall, the lights are still hanging without fixtures and where you see the
white on pedestals that will be oak or something. |

| Bathroom, kind of hard to see because there isn't much light, but it is a gray color. There isn't a pic of Kendall's room yet since it isn't done :) We are doing something special to hers! |

| I just had to add a pic of Jaxon's pouty lip. It is the cutest thing EVER! It's so funny, because he can be smiling up a storm and then just suddenly bust out the pouty lip and start crying! |

Rick is settling into his new position at work and definitely enjoying not getting up at 3:40 in the morning. I am most definitely enjoying him being off during the weekends and spending lots of family time together. This weekend we are heading to GF for Tammy's baby shower and having our pictures taken by the wonderful Nate and Michaela Sustad. Can't wait for both!
