one and a half, and some extra days

I have really been struggling to keep up the blog lately. Have I been busy? Not any busier then every other Mother. I have just been having a tough time feeling ambition to update. Which is silly. It only takes about 15 minutes to write my post and get the pictures uploaded. I really have no excuse. Also, let me let you in on a little secret. I don't write this blog for you. Nope, it's a bonus that I can keep family and friends near and far updated on the happenings of our family. But to be honest with you, I do this blog as a family journal. One of my favorite things to do is look back in the blog and relive those memories when Kendall did her parrot face, or when we took an amazing trip to Florida, or when our babies became baptised. So when you read the posts, and you feel they are too long, too wordy, or too descriptive, just know that I do this for me to remember life at that certain time.

Making my masterpiece

OK!  Back to the real reason for this post, the J-Man!  Oh, my little big Jaxon.  I meant to write this post, well a full month ago, but now that he is 19 months you are finally getting it.  Jaxon has become very busy.  I would be lying if I said he wasn't a handful :)  He climbs everything, pushes chairs over to get where he wants, destroys random items around the house, and loves to make messes.  So I guess he is a typical toddler.  Ha! Even though I know I am not supposed to, I tend to compare Jaxon with Kendall at that age.  She did not (and still won't) climb a thing.  She is very cautious and always has been.  Where Jaxon is very scared right away of strangers or anyone outside of Rick, Kendall and I, he definitely isn't scared of jumping off items, any random animal (even a hissing cat that absolutely hates him), or heights.

He is slowly starting to say more words.  Once again, I know I shouldn't, but I always think back to Kendall who was  speaking in sentences by this time, where Jaxon routinely speaks a handful of words.  This month though he has really started to repeat more words and it's fun to see the words that come out of his mouth.  His faves right now include: ding dong, sissy, out, NO, done, puppy, bye bye, papa, nigh nigh, and some random others.  He loves to babble and can carry on a long conversation with gestures and random sounds.

He is a good eater, only when he likes what's being served.  He is pretty picky and won't touch any fruits other then mandarin oranges and any veggies other then carrots and green beans.  It's a daily struggle when he doesn't like what we are serving, which is more often then not.

He weighed in at 28 pounds and I can't remember the length.  We are just getting into 2T clothes.  So, for anyone that needs 12-18 or 18-24 month clothes, come to my rummage sale this spring.

Sleep is good, he is in a phase where he really likes his sleep.  He sleeps 11-12 hours a night and sleeps 2-3 hours in the afternoon.  He loves his sissy soo much, but never fails to steal her toys, ALL THE TIME.

Here are some pictures. Jax and I spent some bonding time in Fargo this past weekend with Tammy and her son Landon. It was pretty funny, because they are way more similar then they are different. Here are many pictures of my J-man.
