Six Months and Sassy!

Happy half birthday Rosie! We just brought her to her 6 month well baby check up. The past "shot" appointments haven't been so good so I was expecting the worst. So I was very surprised when she only cried for about 15 seconds. What a relief, shots are the worst. She weighed in at 16 lbs 3 oz. 55th percentile and 25 inches long 25th percentile. Ha! There is no surprise there, she sure isn't going to get any length from Rick or I.

Update: Kendall was NOT teething last week as we thought. No teeth came in and apparently her fever shouldn't go much above 101 when teething. So we are thinking she just had some sort of bug and then passed it on to me! Currently I am battling a fever/tired/blah sickness. It can go away anytime now! So as for now, no teeth but back to her happy baby self!

It's hard to believe she is already 6 months old, and like I said in the title, she is soo sassy! Here are a list of her likes and dislikes currently.

Likes:

*Carrots

*Rolling around the room

*Tickle me Ernie

*Her walker

*Her great grandpa Al, he can ALWAYS make her laugh!

*Her pooh bear to snuggle with at night

*Her pacifier when sleeping. She used to only need these for naps, but now uses them for nighttime sleeping too.

*Her light up aquarium

*Grabbing ANYTHING, we like to call her destructo baby!

*Walking in her stroller

Dislikes:

*Carseat. She always has to put on a "show" when we get her in there

*Not being able to crawl yet, she gets so angry that she can't move where she wants!

*Being tired. Kendall is a classic, "if she is crabby she is most likely tired" baby. She has been this way her whole 6 months of life

*Plain rice cereal

*Sitting still, seriously she can not sit still for long!

*Falling asleep anywhere but a crib/playpen. Kind of nice that we can just lay her down and she goes to sleep, but kind of a pain when she is tired and you aren't near one of these, but we make it work by planning activities around nap time.

Well, that's about it! Oh yes, an update on poor Pacey our pug. He has bladder stones so we have had a long few nights of bringing him into the emergency vet and following him around the yard every two hours to see if he pees. Long story short: His body didn't metabolize the food he was eating so it caused crystals to be formed in his urine. This blocked him so he wasn't able to pee. We took him in because he wasn't doing good and the catherized him and he had 560ml of urine and blood in him. The vet said if we would've waited any longer his bladder would have ruptured and it would have been life threatening. So he is home but now on a "urinary tract" diet and we need to make sure he is urinating at least every twelve hours. Ugh, it's been a long couple days, but he is worth it! Anyone that knows us knows that we think of our dogs like family! So we were very worried!

Ok, I think that's it. I am headed to GF for the next week or so, so I won't be posting until I get home....Here's a video of Great Grandpa Al making Kendall laugh!
