Kendall celebrated her 3/4 birthday a couple days ago. OK OK, we didn't do anything special but have now realized it's only a short 3 months away from her big first birthday. She had her nine month appointment and Dr. Murphy said she is perfect! Of course Dr. Murphy probably says that about every baby :) Here were her stats: 18 lbs 10 oz- 50% and 27 1/4 inches long- 40% Doc also said she is a very "well proportioned" baby! She is finally catching up in the height department.
She is a pretty average baby, her normal routine is bed at 8:30 until about 7:30am and two naps during the day totaling about 3 hours. She is a good sleeper, but prefers her crib for naps. She sill has 3 bottles a day totaling 24 oz and has oatmeal twice a day, a jar of veggies, and a jar of fruit a day. We have been starting table food for snacks and this is fun and messy for Kendall. She loves graham crackers and bread. Right now she will probably eat anything you give her.
She loves:
*Her leap frog activity table
*Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
*Her blankie at night
*Putting anything in her mouth
*Pulling herself up on everything and "cruising" around the furniture
*People! She will go to anyone and give them big smiles!
She doesn't like:
*Sitting still while getting her diaper changed (this is a pain)
*When I come home and don't give her my 100% attention. Holy separation anxiety right now. As long as I'm not around she's fine, but if she can see or here me she wants attention.
We are currently gearing up for Halloween. Kendall is going to be the cutest pink monster ever.
This is Rick's favorite holiday so our house has plenty of decorations. Personally, I am gearing up for Christmas! This is my absolute favorite holiday and this year we will be flying to Phoenix to spend Christmas with my Grandpa. It will be Kendall's first plane ride! And of course shortly after Christmas is Kendall's birthday. OK, I am already planning this party and of course I have a theme :) It will be the cutest little ladybug party ever!
So, I was at a conference and while standing in line for lunch, I realized I was standing behind your Mom!! We had a nice chat and even ate lunch together! : ) Such a small world! She said she was staying with you guys and enjoying spending time with Kendall.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a great job with this blog! I love the pics and stories. I haven't gotten adventurous enough to add pics to mine. P.S. I'm so scared that MVJ will be so mobile so soon! How's baby proofing going?
