Kendall has turned into THAT baby. She can't sit still (well, never has been able to really, but it has gotten worse) gets into things just to see your reaction (tipping the dog's water dish, throwing things in the toilet, you get the picture). She is a crazy hyper baby. So, usually we can keep her contained. By contained I mean gated in. Well now Miss Kendall has figured out how to get out of every one of our gates! Downstairs we have this SUPER tall wire gate. There isn't a way to put up a gate downstairs because there is only one wall on the stairway. It is soo high though we never thought anything of it. Well Kendall pushed it back at just enough of an angle to scale it! She used the wire squares as steps and it took her approximately 15 seconds. Ahhh! And our other gate she literally rips off the wall enough to get her little butt inside and she is gone like the wind.
I thought this was just a problem at home, but our daycare provider said she will run upstairs to grab a bottle or something and she turns around and Kendall has already gotten through their gate and up the stairs. Scary!
Her new favorite thing to do is use a fork. I don't know why this would excite many babies, but we were at A&B Pizza and gave her a fork because she likes to play with it. Well she mananged to stap most of her pizza chunks and get them in her mouth. I have NEVER seen her this patient with anything. Last night I gave her a fork and some of her cheetos and she continued to stab every cheeto and get it in her mouth. Well, then it became a personal challenge because she would then try to stab three in a row and THEN put it in her mouth. Hilarious! So I guess we won't have to worry about teaching her to use a fork?? Right now she is stabbing her orange pieces and eating them. Who knew a fork could be so fun?!
On a personal note...I am now down 21 pounds and working my butt off! Some friends and I work out about 5 days a week and man am I feeling it!! I am sore most of my days but it's worth it...right?! :)
That Kendall just amazes me! MVJ just is not as advanced physically. She barely stands and refuses to use silverware. Of course I am THAT mom that constantly worries. But anyways, Kendall is way too smart and so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you!! That is awesome! I have been trying to get in a groove at home with workout DVDs. Once the Olympics started, however, I do NOT want to do them. Maybe I can get back to it starting Monday!! : )
