Well, it has been awhile! I think this is the longest I have gone between posts in quite some time. It has been very busy at the Hochhalter home and I have put blogging on the back burner. Who knew working out could take so much time in your life? I try to work out 5 days a week, and then 1 day I teach Faith Formation, so that doesn't leave many days left in the week! I really do enjoy working out; I can tell I am stronger, have more energy, and can go for about an hour without wanting to pass out :)
Kendall is battling another sickness. She has an awful cough and I'm pretty sure her throat hurts pretty bad. It's currently going around daycare, so I'm sure she will soon get rid of it and pass it to some other unfortunate child.
Now, my topic of the day. I would like to dedicate this post to my two puppies! You are probably wondering why I have the blog title as the old man and the poop whisperer. Well, these describe my two pugs. First, the "old man."

Pacey is our oldest pug, he will be 5 this Christmas. This is him above, the white pug. We like to call him the old grumpy man because he is just "hurumph" most of the time. He comes to you only when he wants to (usually just when you have food), isn't a cuddler (except with Rick), and looks at you with that "what?" attitude all the time! He is pretty lazy and if we let him he would come downstairs only to eat and go to the bathroom, then hightail it back up to bed for the rest of the day! Trust me, this is true, we have forgotten to put the gate up a time or two.

Maggie, our younger pug (3 this January) is the opposite. She is the black pug. She LOVES people and she is such a spaz. She gets excited over the littlest things and wags her tail so hard her whole back end shakes. She will go to anyone and we like to tease her at the puppy park that she is looking for a new home. She will go up to the first person that will give her attention and just love up to them. We swear she's thinking, "if you have treats I will be your next puppy." Maggie has a very unique talent...she is the poop whisperer. You know, the ghost whisperer, but with poop. She can sense when Kendall has a dirty diaper WAY before anyone else can. She can smell it that first instant and will sniff her butt continually until we change her. It really is a talent :) Haha! Kendall doesn't even seem to notice that she has a pug clinging to her butt, she just continues to play until we change her!
So that is a profile of our two dogs. They are a handful, but we wouldn't trade them for anything!
