I have been really bad at updating the Hochhalter blog lately. Well, I haven't had much time for anything lately. Rick and I have been feverishly trying to finish up last minute projects before putting our house on the market. You know wall those "fixer-upper" projects in your house that have every intention of getting fixed, but life gets in the way? Well, we have 4 years of these projects to get done! Here are a few things we have accomplished:
*painting all the door and window trim, door jams and doors
*fix the gutters on the garage
*paint outdoor trim on garage and doors
*put cupboards up in the garage
*haul a TON of boxes and some furniture to a storage unit. We have just about filled a 5 by 10 storage unit and I feel like you can't even tell in our house! We have SOO much stuff. Then you struggle with the toy drama for Kendall. You feel bad packing away all her toys, but in the same sense this is what takes up so much room in our home. I am trying to pack about 4-5 boxes a night to really empty out our house. So if you live in Bismarck and have some boxes for me, I would really appreciate it! I think Dan's supermarket is getting really sick of me checking for boxes.
Speaking of Kendall, she is just getting over a nasty cold. Most of her symptoms are gone except her cough and raspy voice. She sounds like an old man when she talks now. It is hilarious! We took her into the doc on Monday to check out a spot on her leg that was growing and getting red, blotchy and hard underneath. It looked like the spot where she received her shots about 1 1/2 weeks ago. The doc said it looked like the start of cellulitis, but he said it could also be that a tiny particle of bacteria got on the needle when she got her shots. So anyway, he put her on an antibiotic and the spot is already getting smaller. I really thought she was getting another tooth when she started with the fever, but no luck! She hasn't gotten a tooth since February and still only has 6 teeth total!! Doesn't this seem like a small amount of teeth for an almost 17 month old?? She has 4 on top and 2 on the bottom.
Well, not much else to report here. I will try to update more, but everything has been taking a backseat lately.
