our summer thus far

I have been way to busy to post all of our happenings.  I can definitely tell you that this has been our busiest summer in years. I can chalk this up to Rick's much more "normal" schedule and the kids getting older.  There is just so much to show them, teach them and experience.  We have made several trips to the Zoo, super slide, gone camping, water park, out to the lake, on the river and to our friend's houses.  Our niece, Amaya, even stayed with us for 5 days and we had so much fun.  There have been many memories made this year, and our family is so lucky to have other families as our friends.  It's so fun to hang out with friends that also have children around your kid's ages.  Your kids can play with each other and the parent's can socialize, best of both worlds! We also had Jaxon's 2 year party at the zoo, which was a lot of fun.  Rick has squeezed in a few rounds of golf and I have hit up craft night with my friends a few times too! 

When we are home, the kids stay very busy in our backyard.  We recently had a fence installed in our backyard and it's awesome.  The kids and dogs stay contained :)  

Fun side note: Kendall has started swimming lessons and been doing SOO good! She has always been leery around water, but now holds her breath, lays on her back in the water and swims where she can't touch (with life jacket on of course).  I am so proud of her.  She is very scared of new experiences, but I have to say, she also tackles every new fear and overcomes it once she is comfortable.  Such a proud momma.
