Isn't that just life? Maybe just mine. I am such a planner,
sometimes obnoxiously according to the hubs. So when Easter didn't go
as planned I was bummed. We were ready to leave for Grand Forks the
following day and the bags were semi packed. Well the day before
Kendall, out of the blue, started running a fever. No other symptoms,
just a crazy high fever. Then she said her throat hurt. Ding! Ding!
Insert diagnosis for strep throat. We have been down this road before,
several times in fact. However, Kendall had her tonsils and adenoids out about a
year and a half ago and she hasn't been sick since! So I guess one
case of strep in 1 1/2 years isn't bad. Well, we figured it would
probably be best if we stayed in town for the weekend. Kendall wasn't
back to her spunky self until about Sunday, so we made a good choice to
stay home.
Of course we still had a good Easter. We
spent time with each of Rick's parents and enjoyed watching the kiddos
find their Easter baskets.
My parents were disappointed that
they weren't able to see the kids, so they came the following weekend.
Along with them came Alice and Amaya, which was great since they have
since moved to Las Vegas. Amaya and the kids played their little hearts
out and had such a good time with each other. It was also Kendall's end
of year dance recital that weekend, so it was neat that everyone was
able to come see her dance. They also played a lot of dress up and had an Easter egg hunt. Here are some pictures!
