A Week of Firsts!
This week was full of firsts for the Hochhalter's.
1. On Saturday we had our first non-impressive rummage sale. We have had one for 3 years now, and this was the first that wasn't that busy. We had our spurts, but we still had TONS of things left at the end of the day. I guess having it on the first nice Saturday wasn't the best idea since everyone and their Mom was on the river.
2. Kendall met her Great Grandpa Schmaltz today. He drove 21 hours straight from Reno to Bismarck! Kendall loved him immediately and hammed it up for him! She was laughing and giggly the whole time.
3. Kendall had her first meltdown at the YMCA child watch today. I came to get her after working out and apparently she had been crying off and on for about 15 minutes. I guess they tried to page me but I didn't hear it. Well, crying was probably an understatement because she had red splotches all around her eyes like she had been balling for about 30 minutes! A mother's worst nightmare. You always want them to be good for everyone else. The girls were really nice to lie to me to make me feel better but still! She is so unbelievably predictable since about 8 weeks old. The only time she is really crabby is when she is tired or hungry. But mostly if she's tired. If she doesn't get her naps in she is a bear! And this afternoon she slept about 45min, as opposed to the 2-2 1/2 hours she usually gets.
4. Rick's first father's day!!! Yay Daddy! I personally would like to say thank you Rick for giving me such a beautiful daughter, we did good :) The picture below is Rick and Kendall on Father's day. He got his father's day present early, some golf burner driver of some sorts?! I don't know really, but it's what he wanted.
5. Rick and I began our first big home improvement job yesterday. We primed all the trim and are going to paint it tomorrow. My parents are coming down to help us put up baseboard in the whole house, yay! The first of many projects to come! We can't wait to sell this town home. Even though it's over 1600 square feet, we have already outgrown it!!
