Brrr. This was my first thought when we came back from Arizona to the 1 degree weather. Arizona was so warm and so nice that it really was a shock to get back to the cold. Ok, let me back the truck up and start with Christmas Eve.
On Christmas eve we went to children's mass and then over to Rick's mom and step dad's for dinner. We had FANTASTIC prime rib AND Lobster! We are so spoiled! We opened presents and Kendall even opened a few. I think the wrapping paper was way more exciting then her presents!
On Christmas day it was crappy weather again. We were supposed to fly out at 1:30pm on Christmas day, but did not think our plane was going to take off. Rick's dad and Liz came over for breakfast and another round of presents. I kept checking the Bismarck airport website every 10 minutes to see if our flight was still on. EVERY other flight had been cancelled except for ours. The other flights were all going to MSP and ours was going to Denver. So we manages to fly out! And my parent's flight amazingly took off too! We did not think we would both make it from Bismarck and Grand Forks. Our flight was the only plane that took off all day from Bismarck! Man we were lucky!
Kendall was just OK on the flights. She was tired and couldn't sleep so she was restless on the first flight. Oh, and did I mention she is going through the worst separation anxiety I have ever seen?! She wouldn't even let Rick hold her if I am around. More on that later. So anyway, I was stuck with Kendall both flights. The second flight was much better. She slept about half the flight so that was nice.

Phoenix was amazing! It was warm and sunny and fantastic. Rick went golfing, frolfing, and we both went to a Cardinals game. We had so much fun and the stadium was really nice. Sun City (where my Grandpa lives) is such a neat city with about 45,000 people. You have to be 55 or older to live there and people drive around in golf carts! I had so much fun driving to the grocery store and CVS in the golf carts.
The plane rides back were better with Ms. K. She was CRAZY hyper but in a good mood on the first flight, and on the second flight she slept most of the way.
Today I am still off and in search of a daycare. We are seeing a few today and hopefully I will be back at work tomorrow! I hate using my PTO to sit at home!
Kendall has AWFUL separation anxiety from me right now. It is actually better lately then last week. It got to the point where Rick couldn't even hold her when I was around and I couldn't even go to the bathroom without her screaming. Her diaper rash is FINALLY getting better and another tooth broke though yesterday. I think these all play in to part for her being better lately. She still is afraid of me to leave, and I am pretty sure I will have to sneak out of the daycare tomorrow, but she is getting better. It was really good for her to be around a lot of people this weekend. If she sat at home with me all weekend it would have been bad.
Ok, all for now, this is already a really long post! By the way, only 10 days until Kendall's birthday!
