Eleven Months....and Walking!

Eleven down, one to go! One more month until the big ONE! I can't believe in one month I will have a 1 year old. That is crazy just to say!

Like I titled today's post, Kendall is now walking...AHHH!! She began taking her first steps about 10 1/2 months and now can take about 6 or 7 before she starts crawling. She is so funny. She can totally walk fine, but she has to go slow. WELL...that is way to slow for miss hyper Kendall. She doesn't fall after these steps, she sits down and crawls, because that is soo much faster :) Every day she walks a little more and takes more steps. What a fun milestone for babies and parents. They really lose that "baby" look once they start walking. Tear...

Along with walking have come several dreaded teeth. This has caused MAJOR discomfort for Kendall. Currently she has two teeth coming in and one more on the way (it's just about bursting through the gums.) As I type this post she is battling a 102 temp, diaper rash so bad she is actually bleeding on her bottom, and PAIN on her gums. It has not been a happy Hochhalter home for about a week now. Here's a question for all you mom's. When you child's tooth starts to pop through, how long does it usually take for the tooth to completely come in? We were at the doc a few weeks ago and Dr. M said it can take up to two weeks for a tooth to completely come in. WELL...Kendall's first tooth hasn't completely come in yet and she has had it a MONTH!! It still has like half way to go! And the one on the top has broke skin one week ago and you can barely feel it/see it. I don't know if her gums are that tough or what? I really hope she isn't this crabby/sick for all her teeth. It could be a long next year or two! I just feel so bad for her. I know she is in pain and there is really nothing I can do. Tylenol/Motrin/teething tablets work a little but they haven't made that much of a difference.

We just started a new daycare last week and she has been soo crabby this week. I feel so bad for Sara, she probably thinks she is such a cranky baby! I swear she isn't always like this! There is another baby there her age and yesterday Kendall screamed every time Sara held her and then when Sara changed her diaper, Kendall hit her in the head with a box and sat on her head! Oh dear. I hope we aren't daycare searching in the near future!
