christmas parts one and two

We had three, well technically four, Christmas' this year.  Talk about busy.  The week before Christmas we got together with the Hochhalter family and had a great dinner and shared some gifts for the kids.  It was nice to see everyone and spend some time with Grandma Lena since she hasn't been feeling too well since moving into the Waterford.

Our 3 day Christmas extravaganza started Friday at 4:30pm with Rick's mom and step dad, or as Kendall calls them, Grandma Dana and Papa.  We decided to break tradition and head over to Red Lobster for some yummy seafood goodness.  What a great idea this was!  No crowds that early in the evening, no cooking, and no dishes!  After dinner we went back to the Rudnick's for presents and a special appearance from Santa Claus (cough..cough..Jim..ahem).   Kendall was a little scared of him (which we TOTALLY predicted), but gladly accepted presents from him and even sat on his lap with a little persistence.

On Christmas morning we woke up early and left for Rick's dad's house (Grandpa Rod and Lizzy, as Kendall calls them).  Rod made FANTASTIC omelets and we opened even more presents!  Best gift of the day for Rick and I?  Money for a toilet in our unfinished bathroom!  Hey, it's the little things!

This concludes Christmas' part 1 and 2.  Here are some pics!
