eight months big

Jaxon turned 8 months a couple days ago and man did 8 months come in with a bang!  On his eight month birthday he was diagnosed with pneumonia, however, we have been dealing with the yuck yuck yuck for almost 2 weeks now. 

Size: 23lbs 6oz.  It's nice to see that his weight is lacking from all the sickness.  Ha!  He does have some to spare if he needs it.  I am not sure how long he is.  He is starting to wear 12-18 month clothes.  I just love all his rolls and chubby chubby cheeks. 

Sleep: Ugh, I would rather not even post on this part it's so annoying.  Since he has been sick, his sleep has been lacking, ten-fold.  I just feel so bad because it's like he can't get into any sort of deep sleep.  15 min after he goes to sleep he wakes up and talks to himself.  Then usually he wakes up 15 minutes after that.  Then a few times at night.  I just feel so bad for him.  Usually when he wakes up in the middle of the night, he babbles and then puts himself back to sleep.  So this isn't so bad, but it's hard for Rick and I to sleep through it!  It's also been really tough the last three nights, because he is battling this fever that won't go away.  At times it's been tough to get back down around 100.  We are giving him Ibuprofen/tylenol every three hours.  This probably doesn't help the sleeping, for we have to go in there during the night and give him the meds.  Anyway, I am praying that he will bounce back into the great little sleeper we have loved for the past 7 months.

Eating: Along with the lack of sleep, he also isn't eating too much.  Some rice cereal here and there and a bottle every once in awhile.

Development: Jaxon is now crawling...sort of.  He can crawl about 4-5 steps, then gets tired and falls on his belly.  He definitely gets where he wants to go.  He has also started to pull himself up on things.  He enjoys standing next to things and being a "big kid."  His favorite toys include a ball popper, piano, and a race car.  He is definitely all boy already. 

Misc: Hmmm, nothing else to note here.  Even with being sick, Jaxon can dole out that gorgeous smile of his and brighten anyone's day.
