Halloween is always fun at the Hochhalter house. Since it is Rick's favorite holiday we have the house all decked out and costumes to match. Well it wouldn't be a normal day in the Hochhalter house if the day went as planned. Kendall had the cutest pink monster costume that came with these cute pink and purple striped tights. I took pictures of her in it a few weeks ago to put her in the Bismarck Tribune Halloween special. And this is the last time I saw those tights. I put her entire (or so I thought) costume up in her closet for Halloween day. Of course we were running late so I grabbed the costume about 10 minutes before we were supposed to leave and...no tights. I looked EVERYWHERE for them. I was soo unbelivably upset! I ruined her first Halloween! I know I am being dramatic and I know she had no idea part of her costume was missing...but let's be honest, their first Halloween is all for the parents.
So I ended my search and just put some purple striped leggings on instead. Cute, but definitely not as cute. Halloween also wasn't the same since we couldn't carve pumpkins with the Jeffers. This has been a "Jeffhalter" tradition for 8 years now! The Jeffers came down with the flu so we stayed away! Luckily they felt better by Saturday so we could go out on the town for a bit. We thought it would be fun to be the Flintstones, and it was soo much fun! My friend Lauri helped so much by practically making my costume and borrowing me a couple others for the guys.
Everywhere we went we received many comments on our costumes. Everyone yelled out "the Flintstones!" We had a ton of fun! Now I can really focus on Christmas!! This really is my favorite holiday of the year!
